Let’s celebrate the bread of the year 2021

In 2021, Germany’s choice for the bread of the year is the so called three-grain-bread.

The three-grain-bread is – like all multigrain breads – made from at least one type of bread cereal and from a t least one type of non-bread cereals, in total three different types of cereal. Each type of grain has to be contained at least 5 %.

The main ingredients are wheat, rye, oats, spelt, barley, corn, buckwheat, millet and rice.
